Marie Cambon,Born and raised in Vancouver,Canada,Marie travelled to Asia after high school and eventually moved to Shanghai in the mid-80s to study Chinese.After some years in China,Marie visited Kalimantan and Quickly became enamoured of Borneo's winding rivers and friendly people.Marie jumped at the chance offered by this book,her fifth for Lonely Planet,to become reacquainted with Borneo and its many faces.Her next trip there will have something to do with either tracking Sumatran rhinos or retracing the steps of Joseph Conrad.In the meantime,Marie lives in Vancouver with a dog mamed Marlowe.
