KELLEY CHENG-PERSONAL PROFILE:Graduated with two degrees from the National University of Singapore - Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Architecture with honours in 1996,Kelley Cheng gave up a career in architecture to pursue publishing.
Started out as a full time writer/photographer for the now defunct ID magazine, Kelley started her own publishing firm Hypersummer Matters Pte Ltd to publish her own architecture and design magazine, ish in September 1999. In 2002, she joined one of the the region's leading book retailers/distributors/publishers Page One as the Editorial Director of the publishing department, and ish was sold to the established publisher.Today,ish is one of the most popular design magazines in the region with a readership of 40,000 per issue,selling in Singapore,Malaysia,Hong
Kong,China,Brunei,Bangkok,and Taiwan. 2003 saw the launch of her first three design coffeetable books published under Page One - Within Small Homes, Asian Apartments and Asian Resorts, which had an amazing first printrun of 70,000 worldwide published in I0 languages. This was followed by another 4 books in the
beginning of 2004 - Remembering China,Within Offices, Within Shops, Within Bars & Restaurants.
